Forceful Entry

It’s so difficult to come up with clever titles for songs that have no lyrics. What I try to do is pull from my initial inspiration, or more commonly, the first words that the music brings to my mind. The problem with the latter is that I often get fucked up titles like, Grizzly Sage or Mecha Wreck. Nonsensical and meaningless. Oh well.

As usual, this song was inspired by Digitally Imported. Repetitious music certainly has its place in the hearts of its listeners, and I really admire the DJ’s and musicians that put said music together and still keep it interesting. Clearly, my repetitious songs get old after just a few minutes (if not immediately).

I’m pleased with the energy level I was able to attain with this one, and I think the (albeit very short) primary riff is catchy. Other than that, this song is too quiet, too long, and well has many other problems I won’t bother mentioning.

Anyway, please enjoy.

There are several ways to come up with titles for your music.

    1. grab a dictionary (or any other book for that matter), without looking open a page at random and place your finger on the page. if you like the sound of the word your finger landed on keep it and start over until you find a second word you like. keep the combination or create a tiny phrase from your selection.

    2. anagrams. choose words at random then rearrange & delete letters until something you like forms (exp. myopic bladder = red obila, frequent disruption = equentis). you can also do this from the titles of the samples, instruments and presets you use in creating your music.

    3. automatic writing. don’t think about what you’re writing, just write whatever enters your mind no matter how lame or repetetive it seems at first, don’t focus on speeling or gramer just keep writing. then go over what you’ve written and choose words or a phrase.

    4. close your eyes and listen to your music, try to breifly and accurately describe the colours, images or scenes that enter your mind.

    hope this helps.
